I just started using this plugin and there seems to be a massive bug.
I am trying to export the refraction buffer. Within lightwave I can view the buffer in Viper and save the buffer if I do a preview render. The problem comes when I use my farm to render the scene. When using the farm the EXR files are there but the are tiny (2kb) and seemingly corrupt. They will crash photoshop on load and fusion just shows a blank screen.
Another thing I've noticed is that within Layout, if I set up the plugin to export the refraction pass and then set the render mode to save "buffers only" it will crash when it gets to the buffer export part of the render. I have tried this on multiple computers and it is repeatable.
I fear there is something wrong happening with the refraction buffer export feature of this plugin.
Here's the specs of my machine and software: Lightwave 9.6 build 1539 (win32) Win XP 64bit Dual Quad Core Xeon 3.0ghz 12 gigs ram
I played around a bit more and went back to a previous screamer net build (9.5) the issue persists but the EXR files are at least usable however missing the refraction pass.
Is this a know bug and if so is there a fix? I bought this plugin specifically for the ability to render the refraction pass as EXR. Help!

It's certainly not a known bug. I'll try to reproduce it and will get back to you asap. Thanks for reporting it. Cheers, Mike

One more question: Are you saving the refraction buffer as a separate file, or as a layer in the exr?
Cheers, Mike

I have tried saving it as a layer and a file.

I have tried saving it as a layer and a file.
O.k., I've sent you the latest beta, as I couldn't reproduce it. If it still happens, could you mail me a sample scene (that'll also allow me to look at the exrTrader settings). Thanks, and thanks again for reporting it. Cheers, Mike
