Gamma for Photoshop and AE
« on: May 20, 2010, 10:44:32 PM »

In Fusion they load perfectly but in Photoshop and AE CS4, the gamma is off. What is the right gamma setting please?

Thank you,
Jose Burgos

I would say around 0.4545 to 0.416 in PS/AE (1 / 2.2 to 1 / 2.4).
The problem is that both assume the exr is linear (which is correct as the specs define an exr to be linear) but then automatically apply a gamma. Whereas Fusion just lets you colour manage manually all the way through.

Cheers,
Mike

Thank you. I was close Smiley
I have started to use AE in a few projects but still primarily use Fusion.

Take care,
